The Somnath Trust has been working to promote tourism in the Somnath pilgrimage site of Gir Somnath and is going to prepare projects that will attract tourists. The most attractive in this project is the glass tunnel under the sea of Somnath which will become a very attraction for tourists.


Ever since our Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the chairman of the Somnath Trust, we have allocated Rs 500 crore to expand Somnath. The state government has issued a new order approving the marriage as Kamurta is sitting on December 16 as the marriage period in the state is coming to an end. A software called Online Registration for Organization Marriage Function has been developed by the National Informatics Center for conducting wedding ceremonies. This software has been activated on Digital Gujarat Portal (www.digitalgujarat.gov.in). Under which the applicant has to apply online on this portal to hold the wedding ceremony. After making this application the applicant can take a print of the registration slip or even save the PDF. If a police officer or an officer or employee of the local administration requests a registration slip from the applicant, the applicant has to submit it.

An important decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Rupani at 10.30 am today. Parents are given 25 per cent relief in fees.

Following the High Court order, the state government took an important decision on private school fees in a meeting to be held today. In a press conference today, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that parents have been given a relief of 25 per cent less. I.e. 25 per cent fee has been waived. Managers have been persuaded to disagree with 25 per cent. Apart from this do not pay other fees.

Bhupendrasinh Chudasama further said that this decision will be applicable to all boards except Gujarat Board. Private school teachers have to be paid. Not a single teacher can be fired. Fees can be reimbursed if the parents have paid the fee first. Notably, the board of trustees demanded a 50 fee waiver.

Notably, private school administrators showed readiness for a 25 percent fee reduction. The state government had earlier held two meetings with the governing bodies and proposed a 25 per cent fee reduction but the governors did not believe the government had filed a petition in the high court.

The state government has announced a 25 per cent relief in school fees. There will be a 25 per cent discount on fees for the entire academic year. Fees for other school activities will not be charged. The decision of 25% fee waiver will be applicable in Gujarat Board and CBSE schools. Those who have paid more will have to refund the fee. 


Violent protests are taking place in Ahmedabad on the issue of fee waiver. In Ahmedabad, there has been fierce opposition from parents and guardians. The 100 per cent fee waiver was protested with posters. There was protest before Bhupendrasinh announced Chudasama.

Protest over fee in Patan

The protest was opposed by the Gujarat Jan Adhikar Manch. A protest was staged outside the Patan Collector's Office. The students were given an application form to the Collector demanding 50 per cent fee waiver. The students were given a hint of agitation if 50 per cent fee was not waived.
